Register now for our upcoming workshop on Immunofluorescence imaging analysis using deep-learning methods! The workshop serves as a training opportunity for graduate students (Masters/PhD) and ECRs studying bioinformatics or computational biology with an interest in multiplex immunofluorescence image analysis and spatial transcriptomics.
The workshop will be divided into three sessions (2 theoretical and 1 practical). The first session introduces multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF), and its applications in biomedical analysis. The second session introduces the concept of deep learning and its applications in image processing and analysis. The third session gives a hands-on demonstration of using deep-learning methods to analyse mIF images and downstream tasks. At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to have gained the skills and knowledge to run deep-learning methods on mIF image datasets.
The workshop will be delivered in person at Monash University, Clayton. This half-day workshop will run on the 10th of July 2025 (Thursday). Participants are recommended to have minimum knowledge of Python programming. The workshop will be taught via interactive coding on a shared screen, with teaching materials distributed to participants at least two days before the workshop. All participants will be encouraged to set up any required software before the start of the workshop to ensure the workshop runs smoothly.
🗓️ Date: Thursday 10th July, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
📍 Location: Monash University, Clayton, VIC
Schedule:
🌟 Introductions: The day will begin with an introduction to imaging analysis and deep learning, as well as setting up the laptops for subsequent sessions.
🤝 Theory session: This session is divided into two parts. In the first part, participants will be introduced to multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF), and its applications in biomedical analysis. In the second part, participants will gain an understanding of deep learning and its applications in imaging analysis.
🍔 Morning Tea: Don’t worry about going hungry! We’ve got you covered with morning tea to keep your energy levels high for the remainder of the day.
🔬 Hands-on experience: Participants have the opportunity for a hands-on demonstration of using deep-learning methods to analyse mIF images and downstream tasks.
